Centennial Field Day

Centennial Elementary had their field day at our gym on June 1st! Almost 400 students played at the gym during the day! The kids did 7 stations including both jumping castles, trampolines, obstacle course, tumble trak, hoola hoops and jump ropes upstairs, and sidewalk chalk outside. Thanks for bringing your kids Centennial! We had so much fun with them!

Idaho State Championships!

Level 4's Cortney & Mickala

We took 13 girls to the Idaho State Gymnastics Championships in Pocatello this past weekend. Thanks to all the families for making extremely long drive down there! We are so proud of all of girls! A couple of big achievements to note: Michelle, level 8, was 11th out of 33 girls in level 8, which qualified her to represent Idaho at Regionals in April. She also placed 5th on beam and 6th on vault in her age group!

Other top placers: Sophie, level 7, 3rd on vault; Alli, level 7, 4th on vault; Aaliyah, level 6, 6th on vault; Mary, level 5, 2nd on floor; Hannah, level 5, 6th on floor; Mickala, level 4, 3rd on vault, 4th on beam, 6th All-Around; Cortney, level 4, 3rd on vault, 5th on bars, 4th on beam, 5th on floor, and 4th All-Around! Way to go girls!

Grand Opening this Friday!

We are proud to announce our Grand Opening this Friday, February 20 from 4-6 PM! Goodtimes 105 will be here broadcasting live! We invite you to bring in your friends and see what we have to offer in our brand new gym! Following the Grand Opening will be a Parent's Night Out and Sleepover. This is a fundraiser for our competitive gymnasts! Drop off your kids from 7-10 PM for $10 or overnight for $25 (additional siblings $20). Pick up at 8:00 AM Saturday morning. As a special bonus, Rooster's Restaurant will be giving a discount coupon to the first 50 families that bring their kids in! This way you parents can really have a nice night out!

A Great Weekend for 360 Teams!

Our girls all did great this past weekend! Both of our all-star cheer teams competed in Post Falls and both placed 1st in their division! They have been working so hard, and are doing so amazing for only being a team for 6 months!

Our gymnasts competed at Spokane Jr, and this week we brought home 3 team trophies, and had 3 1st place all-arounds! Congratulations Mary (level 5), Sis (level 6), and Michelle (level 8--pictured below). We are so proud of you!

This past weekend our girls team competed at the Palouse Invitational in Moscow. Level 4 Jo Jo brought home 360's first All-Around Champion title! In addition to 1st place All-Around, she also was 1st on vault, 1st on beam, and 3rd on both bars and floor! Way to go!

Other top placers included level 4 Cortney, who placed 1st on vault, 2nd on bars, 3rd on both beam and floor, and 2nd All-Around; level 5 Mary placed 2nd on floor, 3rd on both vault & bars, and 2nd All-Around; level 6's Kaylee & Aaliyah both placed 3rd on vault; level 7 Sophie placed 2nd on both bars & vault. We also qualified almost our entire team for state! We are so proud of our girls!

Our cheerleading all-stars also had their first competition this past weekend in Spokane. Our Jr. team placed 1st in their division, and Sr. team placed 2nd in their division! Great job!

1st Competition of the Year!

Our girls and boy's gymnastics teams both competed this weekend at their first competition. For 13 of our 23 athletes, this was their first competition ever! We are so proud of them! Our level 5 girls team placed 2nd in the team competition, and included 2nd place All-Around for Hannah, 3rd place All-Around for Mary, and 3rd place All-Around for Sydney in their age categories! In other levels, Michelle placed 2nd All-Around at level 8 and Sophie placed 1st on Vault in Level 7 with a 9.35! Way to go girls!

New Classes Start December 1

We can finally tell you that we will be starting classes in the new gym on December 1. New class schedules have been posted in the old gym as well as on the website at www.360gymandcheer.com (the old class times will remain the same, we have just added more classes). New classes include cheerleading and tae kwon do for kids beginning at age 4. We have a new Preschool/Pilates class on Thurs. at 1:00 for mom's who want to get a workout while your child does a class! We have also added more evening preschool and gymnastics classes.
The gym will be closed the entire week of Thanksgiving (Nov. 22-30) so we can spend the week moving. We would love any help that week moving! Below are some updated pictures of the new gym...

The new gym is getting close to being done! Our contractor has given us Nov. 22 as the move-in date. You should see curb, gutter and sidewalks by next week, and the parking lot paved the following. All of the interior contractors are working hard on finishing up their parts. We are so excited to see the progress every day. Huge thanks to Mark Heuett Construction for making this all possible!

1086 Backhandsprings in 5 minutes!

Way to go team girls! Tonight, 17 of our team girls (Michelle, Sophie, Sidnee, Amanda, Kaylee, Jackie, Charity, Abby, Aaliyah, Sidney D., Josie, Hannah, Mickala, Mary, Jo Jo, Natalie, and Cortney) participated in our 1st ever "Backhandspring-a-thon" fundraiser. Their goal was to do 1000 backhandsprings in 5 minutes (with 20 team kids). These 17 girls managed to do 1086 in 5 minutes! Thank you so much to everyone who sponsored our girls! Also big thanks to all the family and friends who showed up to help count them all! See above video for the start!

Asotin Days Parade

360 Gymnastics & Cheer did their first parade today! The majority of our girls team, boys pre-team, and a few special little ones walked in the hot sun to show off our club! I don't think this town has ever seen someone swinging giants on a high bar strapped to a car hauler moving down the road before! Great job Michelle & Sidnee! Big thanks to Barb & Bill Bartlett for use of their car hauler, and to Wayne Grubb for driving so the coaches could help the kids! Thanks to all the parents who showed up early to help us decorate. We really appreciate all the help! We're looking forward to the Round-up Parade!

Beginning to see a building!

The first week of August was a big one for 360 Gymnastics! After more than 3 months of getting the site ready, you can finally see the beginning of the building! The contractors finished the concrete foundation on Tuesday, and the next day the steel beams were going up. It is amazing how much they put up in just 2 days!

Construction Update!

I have had a request for updates on the new building construction...so here it is... The pit is completed (minus the foam of course). The contractor is currently doing the building footings and all of the below ground work (utilities, etc.). The steel building materials will arrive the end of July, and you should start seeing the building going up by the beginning of August. Probably the most noticeable change to the site is the demolition of the yellow house on the corner of 15th & Poplar!

Side Effects of Men's Gymnastics...Muscles!

One of our goals for the upcoming year, along with moving into the new gym, is to have a boys competitive team along with our girls. Coach Kevin is hoping to have a great group this summer. They will be practicing on Tues & Thurs. nights from 6-8PM if any local boys would like to join. Our first "official" boy's team member is Kyle, age 6 (Ryan & Jennie's son). With one air conditioner out, and the valley's first 90 degree day, the team was having a hard time focusing on their work out...luckily, we had planned a "Squirt Gun Day." The coaches surprised the girls with a couple hundred water balloons. The girls surprised the coaches by making them their main target!

Our All-Stars have been working hard all year, and are ready to start looking toward becoming a competitve team next year! We have a group of 1st-6th graders who are so excited to get this new program off the ground! We also have a large group of Jr/Sr cheer tumblers that would like to get a competitve team going as well. We welcome any new kids in the valley who want to learn all that is involved in cheerleading...including jumps, tumbling, stunting, cheers and dance! Starting June 9, these groups will be practicing on Monday nights from 6-7:30 for the grade school kids and Monday & Wednesday nights from 7-9:00 PM for the Jr/Sr High All-Stars. Beginning of a new gym!

It has all happened so fast! In a little over a month, a 25 year old gymnastics gym has gotten new owners, a new name, and now the start of a new facility! Today you can see the beginning of work on the site that will soon be 360 Gymnastics new home. Coach Ryan, along with Mark Heuett General Contracting, began the process of getting the site ready to build on. Today this included cutting down trees on site (Coach Ryan is the one in the orange vest). The existing pole building will be moved by Monday, and you will see dirt begin to move next week! Check back for updated information, or drive by 15th & Poplar to check the progress!

The foam pit is the first thing the crew has to do...

Update: June 6, 2008 The pit is completed as well as the footings! We are almost ready to begin laying the foundation!

We are happy to announce that 360 Gymnastics and Cheer will soon be relocating to a brand new facility! Right now it looks like just a boring piece of land, but by the end of April you should be able to see things moving on the corner of 15th St. and Poplar in Clarkston! The new facility will be a 14,000 square foot steel building with lots of parking and a ton more space than the current gym. We will do our best to update you on how the building is coming, as well as changes in the schedule that will happen once we move. Our goal is to be operating in the new building by Fall 2008!

Michelle's All-Around scored qualified her to be an alternate on the Idaho State team that will compete at Regionals against the top level 8 gymnasts from Hawaii, Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and Montana. The regional competition will be held the weekend of April 18-21, 2008 in Spokane, WA. She is the only level 8 from our part of Idaho who achieved this honor.

360 Gymnastics & Cheer is born into the Lewis-Clark Valley! Formerly Twin River Gymnastics, this 25 year old gym is getting new owners and a new name! Ryan & Jennie Fiske are excited to start a new chapter in this gym's life, complete with a new building they are hoping to be in by Fall 2008. Ryan and Jennie have a combined 25 years of gymnastics and cheerleading history. They met at the University of Idaho, where they were both on the cheer squad.

360 Gymnastics & Cheer offers gymnastics instruction, all-star cheerleading, indoor rock climbing, birthday parties, and jumping castle rentals!
